Some prefer Old Catholic or Independent Catholic or IC/OC, to use both. Some prefer Independent Sacramental Movement, ISM for short. I propose a new abbreviation to use:
E I E I O
Here's why:
Arnold Mathew had a church E I E I O
And in that church he made many bishops E I E I O
With a schism here with a schism there
Here a schism there a schism
Everywhere a schism schism
Arnold Mathew had a church E I E I O

Just by substituting the names of our most prominent ecclesial ancestors, this could get as long as 99 bottles of beer on the wall....
Are you telling me that I've accidentally created our movement's first drinking song?
99 independent bishops on the throne
99 independent bishops on the throne
Take one down, process him around,
98 independent bishops on the throne
Haha, the graph of EIEIO bishops isn't a tree; it's not even a directed acyclic graph! ;-P
ha ha ha way too funny. Graeme and I created a song last year to the tune of BINGO
There was a man who was a God and Jesus was his name O
J-E-S-U-S . . . . I'll type up the other verses later (grin).
Dear Lord ... Camp songs for the EIEIO crew....
Oh no! Now I'm going to lose sleep trying to think of versus for these little ditties...
Curses!
Uh...verses too.
Old Catholic means Utrecht like Roman Catholic now means run by the Vatican, Anglican means invited to Lambeth and Orthodox means in the Orthodox communion.
Independent Catholic works.
ISM is too long like African-American for black and also too obscure.
The 99 bishops on the throne (I'm assuming to 99 bottles of beer) must be sung backwards & exponentially if it is to be TRULY reflective.
1 Indie bishop on the throne . . .
3 Indie bishops on the throne
9 Indie bishops. . . .
Excellency, I tried to take a page from the online interview you did with Fr. Tancibok and come up with a version of "99 Bottles" that involved hitting 99 people in the head with bottles, then finding out that 49 of them were Old Catholic bishops, and 48 of them likely deserved it, but that's a lot to fit into a drinking song. I'll try and work on "What Do You Do With a Drunk Vagantes" tonight once I crack open a few Abbey Dubbels.
So delighted to stumble upon ICs with such humour LOL
